HellO! I’m Hannah.

And do you remember latchkey kids? Because I grew up a proud member of the club.

A personable family. The woman is a chef that cooks in-home meals for families and busy professionals in Boulder, Colorado. The photo features australian shepherds, Boulder's iconic Flatirons and a lot of love.

I’m a Colorado girl with a pair of Australian Shepherds, a wonderful husband, and a deep appreciation for good conversation, great wine, and an aisle seat when I fly.

My love for cooking was born out of unsupervised after-school curiosity and developed through a relentless pursuit of my truly random cravings as I became a well-traveled, hungry adult. My current obsession: orange skin-contact wine, a grapefruit and fennel salad with pistachios, and miso-mustard marinade on broiled sea bass. But I’ll never pass up a good macaroni and cheese, either.

Cooking for others fits perfectly into my life because I prioritize joyfully caring for people. Since 2019, I’ve worked as a mental health professional, alongside years of experience supporting families in their homes as a nanny, household manager, and personal chef. Why? Because all of it brings meaning, movement, and creativity. Every hat I wear is a genuine privilege, and I’ve come to appreciate that one of my favorite ways to care for people is through cooking, because food has a special kind of magic.

Of course, meals meet one of our most basic needs: nourishment. But we also know they can become so much more. They bring us together around the table and can turn into precious memories, opportunities for adventure, connection, and comfort. The perfect bite can transport us to a time we knew long ago (hello, grandma’s lasagne!) or introduce us to somewhere we’ve never been. In my world, though, there’s nothing like making an ordinary Tuesday a bit cozier.

So, in an effort to follow my passions, The Kitchen Elf is a project where I get to combine the things I love most: food, family, and caring for others.

I hope to meet you (and your spice cabinet!) very soon.
